Region: East Africa
Altitude: 1600-1700 masl.
Type: Arabica and Bourbon
Process: Fully washed

This East African coffee, grown at altitudes ranging from 1600 to 1700 meters above sea level, is a blend of Arabica and Bourbon beans that undergo a fully washed process. The result is a delightful cup with subtle notes of currants, aniseed, and chocolate. What makes this coffee even more special is the cooperative behind it. The cooperative members collectively own and operate their own wet mill, allowing them to produce, process, and market their coffee independently. Each member of the cooperative owns an equal share and tends to a range of coffee trees. The proceeds from the coffee sales go a long way in improving the well-being of the farmers, supporting children's education, and addressing basic everyday needs within the community. This coffee not only tastes great but also contributes to the livelihoods of local farmers and their families.
